Camping and Happy Birthday America!

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

This past weekend, my husband and I took a little trip to Mohican State Park for a little bit of camping and outdoor fun. We have never been there, surprisingly, because it is only an hour and a half from where we live. The last night of our trip we stayed at a little bed and breakfast called the Blackfork Inn in a nearby town and went to Ashland's Balloonfest. Here are a few of my favorite photos from our trip.

Don't mind me...it was so hot I was basically in my bathing suit all day long!

Malabar Farm State Park

Amazing vintage farmhouse on the property that has been untouched since 1956.

My favorite room in the house! Notice the Paris Green!

On our way home we stopped at Mount Jeez to get a view of the whole farm.

I love that we were only 15 hours from home yet, we were off the grid...seriously we had no cell service the entire weekend. It is nice to be able to take quick weekend trips like that. I had so much fun and will definitely go back to Mohican next summer.
