Yes, my friends, I am still alive even though I have not blogged in quite some time. You all know Halloween is my favorite holiday (see here and here) so I wanted to share photos from our Halloween adventures this year.
Warning: PHOTO HEAVY POST
Theatre Bizarre- For our second anniversary, my husband and I packed up our costumes and drove 3 hours west to Detroit. We had a blast, this party was epic, yes epic. If you live even remotely close to Detroit, you need to go. Seriously. Words cannot express my love for this event, but I will try. This masquerade party was held at The Masonic of Detroit which is the largest Masonic Temple in the world. The architecture of the building was absolutely stunning, so much so I am surprised they allowed 4000 (you heard me) costume clad party goers. From the moment we stepped in the door, it was sensory overload and it was hard to take it all in. I mean, the building is spectacular, the costumes were amazing, and there were performers (burlesque performers, bands, side show acts, acrobats, a marching band!, etc.) in multiple rooms on all seven floors. We stayed for five hours and it literally felt like five minutes. I didn't want to leave and I can't wait for next year!
