I know, I know...I am a bad blogger! Sorry, what can I say? It has been gorgeous outside and I just cannot stay inside to blog. I figured I better sit down and blog a little bit tonight because the rest of this week is going to be gorgeous and my husband and I have planned a little camping trip to Mohican State Park. I am pretty excited because we plan on riding our bikes, canoeing in the river, and making s'mores! But before I leave I wanted to post some super cute pictures of my Mom's new kitten Josie...she is totally adorable!!!

Fun Summer Jewels

I think summer is the perfect opportunity to wear statement jewelry. It is the best way to dress up a simple maxi dress, cut offs and a white t, or add pizazz (yes, I just said pizazz) to your go to LBD. Jewelry is also a great way to try out trends without committing to an item of clothing that is too far outside of your box (think neon jeans). When my sister was home for my birthday she was just raving about how much she LOVES Lana Del Rey. I have to say she made me listed to her album Born to Die a few times, but I wasn't convinced. Well I kept listening to it and it started to grow on me. "Blue Jeans" is my favorite song off of the album, do you like it?

Awesome App Alert

Today I got my lovely e-newsletter from Photojojo (an awesome website that "finds the best photo shiz anywhere") and the title was "Keep in Touch with Friends via Photo Apps". I immediately thought... "Hmm dumb"! But when I actually opened the email I discovered Quiption, a super fun app that lets you choose a photo and combine it with an artistic, hand letter phrase and send it as a real printed postcard! LOVE IT!

Dredgers Union, which is one of my fav local boutiques, is putting on MADE IN THE 216 this weekend and I am super duper excited (I wasn't able to attend last year)!! If you are wondering, MADE IN THE 216 is a shopping event designed to tout the design community of Cleveland and to support those that have chosen to stay and base their creative endeavors right here in ‘the 216’.  By showcasing the designers along with musicians and caterers in a setting merchandised and designed to look like a fun and engaging retail space, the guests are encouraged to explore and discover the products and shop and have fun! 

The Dredger's Union is also hosting another great event on June 29th, spotlighting local artists called The 50/50 Show. I won't be able to make it to this because I will be camping in southern Ohio, but I'm sure it will be fab!

What I Wore: My 30th Birthday

I had an absolutely fabulous 30th birthday on Friday!! My husband and BFF Cate put together a bitchin' 80's Birthday Bash for me at my favorite local bar. Cate even got me a "Lisa Frank" Unicorn cake that was amazing!!! (If you are my age you probably had Lisa Frank stickers, folders, stationary, etc. I was obsessed when I was young!) I danced to my hearts content to my favorite 80's songs all night long with my favorite people. Plus, I got the best present ever...my sister, who lives out of state, totally surprised me by coming to the party!

The Happiest 5k on Earth...it's True!

This past weekend my hubby, my brother in-law, and his wife road trip-ed to Chicago to run "the happiest 5k on earth" also known as The Color Run. It was a serious BLAST and I would highly recommend you participate in a city near you!! There were 8000 runners...it was wild! Below are some of my favorite shots (and yes I was the only one in my group brave enough to bring my iPhone and I am really glad I did)! Oh... and by the way I ran the whole way!!!
